An Atypical Property ...
Château Poupille is an unusual name in the very classic Bordeaux region.
Far from a verbal mischievousness Poupille means, in the local patois, "the end of the hill". The château is set high up and dominates its vineyard.
33 hectares in one piece and the harvest is entirely manual:
97% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon. All facing south, on a homogeneous clay-limestone terroir.
The chateau has been certified organic since 2008 even though the process was started much earlier.
